VITICULTURE

Starting with Syrah in 2002 followed by Grenache in 2006, and later Petite Verdot, the Rolphs now have10 acres of trellised deficit irrigated vineyard. In 2009 and 2010, they planted an additional 20 acres of dry-farmed grapes comprised of Petite Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel.

With an emphasis on low impact farming the Rolphs use no herbicides, minimal fungicides and regularly replant the cover crop.

By using trellised deficit irrigation and dry farming techniques, the Rolphs ensure flavorful grapes and balanced vines.
